Join is stunning Snowdonia National Park and explore ancient forests, tumbling waterfalls and ancient castles as we photograph, and explore lighting, composition, long exposure techniques and focus.
Whether you’ve been shooting for a while or are a beginner just wanting to improve your current understanding, our Living Lens Photographic Retreat will teach you digital photography basics and give you a solid foundation helping to improve your images immediately.
LIVING LENS Photography & Editing Retreat
Embark on a photographic journey like no other with our 4 day and 3 night workshop in the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, you will have the opportunity to capture the beauty of this national park through your lens. With a small group of just 12 students (max), you will receive personalized instruction and guidance from Lisa and myself.
During the workshop, you will learn the art of landscape photography, including composition, lighting, and post-processing. You will also have the opportunity to capture the wildlife of the park (with a little luck). With the opportunity to explore and photograph the park at different times of the day, you will be able to see how the light changes and how to use it to your advantage.
With camera's in hand we'll be sharing with you the most beautiful and hidden spots in the park.
This workshop is a perfect opportunity for anyone who loves photography and nature. With the small group and personalized instruction, you will be able to take your photography to the next level and come away with a portfolio of stunning images. Sample Itinerary
(this is just an example, timings and locations do change depending on conditions)
Day 1
3:00 - Arrive at accommodation for meet and greet and a welcome drink
17:00 - Camera Craft session focusing on photography basics and function locations
19:00 - Locally prepared and sourced dinner is served at accomodation
21:00 - Head out for a night shoot capturing the stars above Cader Idris (weather permitting)
Day 2
07:00 - Head out for sunrise shoot
08:00 - Return to the accommodation for breakfast and coffee
09:30 - Head out to photograph local waterfalls
12:30 - Relocate to photograph local hidden Castles
16:00 - Review and critique our images back at the accommodation
15:00 - Setup for our post processing tutorials and techniques
18:30 - Very short walk to set up for our sunset shoot (weather permitting)
19:30 - Locally prepared and sourced dinner is served at accomodation
20:30 - Kick back and relax in the lounge with a well deserved drink
Day 3
07:00 - Head out for sunrise shoot
08:00 - Return to the accommodation for breakfast and relax
11:00 - Post processing tutorials and techniques
12:00 - Head out to photograph local ancient forest
15:00 - Return to the accommodation for post processing tutorials and techniques
18:00 - head out for Sunset photo shoot (weather permitting)
19:00 - Locally prepared and sourced dinner is served at accomodation
20:00 - Head to the main lounge for casual image review, camera talk and to kick back and relax
Day 4
07:00 - Head out for sunrise shoot (if you're really keen or enjoy a late morning, sleep in and pull up the duvet)
08:30 - Breakfast and coffee at accommodation
09:30 - Refresher session at accommodation to review camera best practises, techniques, hints and tips and post-processing
12:00 - Depart Accommodation
